Group Health Insurance

TDA Benefits  will explain the two major types of delivery systems, the types of plans available and discuss which is best suited to your company needs.

MANAGED CARE PLANS:
• HMO * – Health Maintenance Organizations are networks of specific doctors available to participants. Many doctors and hospitals participate in HMO programs.
• POS * – Point of Service plans are very similar to the HMO plans but have an additional out of network feature, expanding your access to care.
• * plans are available with or without a referral required

INDEMINITY PLANS:
• PPO – Preferred Provider Organizations offer a wider access to in network providers and also has out of network benefits
• TRADITIONAL: allows covered members the ability to seek care at any provider he or she chooses. These plans are usually subject to a deductible and coinsurance.

ANCILLARY COVERAGES

Dental Insurance

Dental plans cover the following: preventative, basic and major services (orthodontia coverage can also be elected). With so many choices available TDA Benefits will help you understand these options and help you decide which is right for you.

Life Insurance

Group Life is a relatively inexpensive benefit for employers to provide to their employees. TDA Benefits can discuss costs and coverage amounts as part of the employer’s benefits offerings.
Term Life, Whole Life, and Universal Life are all Individual Life Insurance offerings. Employers can offer one or several plans to their employees.

Disability Insurance

One of the most important benefits that is often overlooked. Disability insurance can be offered as a group benefit or on an Individual basis. TDA Benefits will help employer’s understand the policies and associated costs, so that they can offer employees the ability to pay their bills if they are unable to work.

Long Term Care Insurance

Long term care insurance covers costs that Medicare usually will not cover, like: home health care, assisted care living facilities, adult day care as well as nursing home care. TDA Benefits will explain how the coverage works and outline the costs for you to determine a suitable plan.

Voluntary Benefits

Voluntary benefits allow employees to purchase additional insurance products through payroll deductions. Premiums are paid from pre-tax dollars and deducted from the employee’s paycheck, making payment simple and convenient. Voluntary benefits are also a way for employers to offer an added incentive to employees without having to pay extra. Everybody wins when voluntary benefits are a part of a company’s employee benefits package.

HRA/HSA Administration Services

These plans help employees manage their health care costs while allowing employers the flexibility to control premiums. Health Savings Accounts (HSA) are individual account that employers sometimes chose to contribute to in addition to employee contributions. HRAs (Health Reimbursement Accounts) are sponsored by the employer, and the employer sets an allowance for employees to use to reimburse medical expenses. In both cases employees can utilize these monies to help pay for co-payments, deductibles, and other items not covered under their insurance plan if they choose to do so.

COBRA Services

The idea behind COBRA is to let employees keep their group health insurance coverage for a period of time after leaving a job. Under COBRA, you can continue your health coverage for up to 18 months. However, there are other circumstances that allow for this coverage to be continued for longer periods of time, such as disability, death or divorce. TDA Benefits works closely with some of the industries leading vendors and will explain the program in greater detail and how it would work for your organization. Although COBRA is usually reserved for employers with more than 20 employees it’s very important to note that some states, like NJ, have this benefit for groups with less than 20 employees.
